Just for the Record

Our week, in review.
  • Truck's battery died on us last Saturday night. With all 4 of us in it. In the middle lane of the freeway. In moderate traffic. In the dark (lights and all.) Talk about adventure. I promise, all I did was turn the heater knob to vent. (That will teach me to mess with the controls.) We were able to coast off the freeway without incident. Saved by my brother AVERY who is such a good person. A genuinely nice guy. A new battery seems to have solved it.
  • Door left open on the PWT* freezer on our driveway. Lost was hamburger, chicken, ham, some ice cream treats, veggies and fruit, and some other things that needed to be thrown out but I hadn't had the heart. It could have been worse, our supply was dwindling. Ethan claims fault. He needed the outlet to do planty things and forgot to plug it back in--on Tuesday a week ago. We found out Sunday. Bummer. (At least it wasn't me. :)
  • I've decided there are two kinds of days for me right now because of the mail. There are days we get bills in the mail, and days we don't. Ethan can tell which is which. Poor guy.
  • 2 year olds can be a lot of fun. (And a lot of NOT fun for that matter.) I think R might have an imaginary puppy. He talks to "goggy" in that high pitch talking to the baby voice. He also likes to be a pretend "goggy."
  • 7 month olds can be a lot of fun. (And some NOT fun for that matter.) M successfully pulled herself up to a stand yesterday. She stood with the help of R's "CAR". She then fell over backwards. Stiff as a board she tipped over and bonked her head. So sad, yet so cute.
Now, off to read the Toy Catalog with R.

*PWT (or POS, either fits this freezer.) is the early 80's upright freezer that we received free. There is not a place for it inside, so it sits on the driveway. And it is a nice shade of dark mustard.

Okay, you've had quite a week. Hopefully it doesn't repeat itself soon. Happy Anniversary and Happy Halloween!
