When we had our New Year's Eve party, we unstrapped R's chair and put it on the ground. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. He feels SO BIG to be able to sit in it himself and has eaten all of his meals on the floor since then. E tried to put it back on a chair, and R screamed. So we will let him sit there for a while longer. I actually think he's eaten more since being down there, and when he tosses his cup/plate/bowl, it doesn't have as far to go and makes less mess.
And don't worry, we don't throw food to him like a puppy.
