R is 18 months old today.
Words: apple, nana, bread, goo (juice), cookie, hello, bye, amen, nine, mama, dada, (although lately I've been dada and dada is called mama...) baby, ball, snow, cars, bitey (lights), please, thank you, no, up please, more, all done, paper, circle, kirkels (crayons.)
Favorite foods: still fruits. He's also been asking for sweet things more often (darn Christmas treats!) We're suckers when he says (and signs) please. Hard to say no to that. He has also started drinking more milk, and he likes hamburger and bread.
New tricks: climbing up on chairs. This is the one he is most proud of. He loves to stand up on the chairs. We're working on sitting on them. He's almost made it onto the couch.
He has quite the sense of humor and teases and flirts. When we're in the car, he will often say Mama! Mama! Hi-Fie! And I'll turn around and give hime high five. He also loves to play peek-a-boo in the car. Unfortunately he doesn't understand that I can't play these games when I'm driving. He loves to draw, and is getting better about drawing on the paper. We are however, now a family that has drawing on some of our books. He can identify the color blue, knows circles, and LOVES the ABC song. He will "sing" along and say Y, Z at the end. Very cute.
R is a lot of fun. Most of the time he is easy going, but is really finding his independence. He laughs easily, and has started showing real imagination in his play. We are so glad he's part of our family.
