Me and My Pointy Sticks

I am a novice knitter. I have one finished thing (a simple scarf) and one work in progress. Grandma Great is the expert that has taught me what I know. Here's a pic of what she specializes in. This is the sweater she knit for R, and she says that she has done "only" 200 ish. I know that I am not done with my afghan, but I am SO ready to start something new. So I've decided on a simple pair of baby slippers. I recently read that baby things are fun to knit because they are relatively fast. We'll see how easy the easy pattern really is...
