I have recently come under (mild) attack about feeding my son before he is 6 months old. The holidays were full of more experienced parents opinions about what we should do or try with R (including, but not limited to feeding). After lots of stress trying to figure out how to defend our choices or R's behaviours I was done. I finally answered "It's what works for our family." I instantly felt better, and realized that it was the truth! We make our decisions based on what works for us. I know that others are just offering advice to help us out not upset or offend. I am just glad that I had this revelation, and I hope that I can remember it.
