R was given an apron, a pin that showed the craft he's made, and a kit to make a fun bean bag toss. He enjoyed helping his dad, and when he became bored using the hammer, the project was very close to being done. Later, we bought paint and let him paint it. This will be something we try to do each month. It was fun!

Free Fun
I've heard about a free kid workshop at my local orange big box home improvement store, but we've never lived close enough to make it. (10am can seem early on a Saturday...)
