We knew we couldn't afford a real "vacation." R has been sick (his first ear infection and a sore throat.) So we settled for dropping him off at my mom & dads and spending 1 night in a motel 1 1/2 miles away. It was a good time. We were in a hotel with an indoor pool and hot tub. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room, and we got to SLEEP IN.
R had a great time in the pool. Even though the water was cool.
I think he had a great time at Grammy & Papa's. He got to stay up 2 hours (2 HOURS?!!!) past his bedtime, eat cookies with his breakfast, and pick out new toys at the store. What more can you ask for at 1 1/2?
